The Deepest & Dark

A split in the world has brought your kingdom to its knees, and the fallout threatens to ruin it.

     The Deepest & Dark is a GMless storytelling game for 3-6 players about a kingdom beginning to be (literally) ripped apart, a handful of people in it, and interesting relationships. You may fight with your friends, ally with your rivals, or fall in love with your enemies. 

It is loosely inspired by Dragon Age and general fantasy media, and is a hack of MF0: Firebrands by Vincent Baker. You don't need to know anything about either to play. 

While you play, you'll take on the role of an Outsider: a strange newcomer to this land, with magic and little else, a Bastion: a noble hero striving to fix the wrongs this split has brought, or a Harbinger: a lurker among the chaos who reaches for opportunity with both hands. 

You'll need:
- 3-6 people
- Some 6-sided dice
- Some tokens in two different colors
- A handful of hours

This game is easily played remotely; all you'll need is a way to roll dice or some trust in each other, as well a way to send a message simultaneously (so, just about any text messenger.) Just decide what word/symbol/emoji counts as a black stone, and which as a white, and otherwise follow the rules as standard.  

Under demos is Ebb, a variation of the card game War. A variation of this appears as a game within The Deepest & Dark as a minigame.

The detailed and simplified files contain the same content; the simplified file is just lacking ornamentation & is thus a little more printer-ink friendly. 
Each should be screen reader friendly, but please let me know if there's any improvements I can make on that front!
